Heist have reformed for wotlk! The intention of Heist is that of a semi-hardcore guild, catered to professionals playing the game. We will raid a set time for 5 days a week with little exception and strive to keep as close to the edge of progression as possible while maintaining our strict raid times.
Heist formed from the more pve, hardcore sides of two guilds on Vek’nilash, Sunday Union and Eternal Corpse Council. This happened rather surprisingly to a lot of members in each guild and quite heavy hatred came out of this from a small number of members of each guild. After this blew over we achieved our goals of becoming a world known guild by getting kills such as EU 4th on Kalecgos, world 6th on Brutallus and world 11th on Felmyst thanks on part to the over the top raiding schedule we had. As we further progressed, we as a group began to burn out and were only held together by the strong community sprit of the guild. Ultimately this was not enough as the overwhelming drive for progress forced us apart. Although we died, a lot of the members felt a great sense of pride in what we accomplished due to the fact that we achieved what we originally set out to do. Most of the members went on to join other respected guilds, but the community continued to thrive outside wow.
After sunwell was cleared and on farm status, Jabez contacted Vesri, Eri and Anupu who were all prominent figures in Heist. After discussion. It became apparent that Heist was missed and concluded that there was more to the game than getting world firsts. Heist was missed and even the prestigious achievements and prominent guild tags couldn't fill the void from the loss of the daily activity of the Heist community. It was decided that Heist would reform on the realm of Darksorrow under a new raiding philosophy which focuses on quality rather than quantity. Raids will be held 5 times a week Sunday-Thursday 1900-2300. During raids focus will be at 100% for the duration of the raid as we wish to be at the edge of progression while not having to be super hardcore |
